So I finally had the time to set up my blog. So since I was crowned, I have started school, was a part of Miracle Treat Day 2011, walked in a march to end Womens Violence and attended a couple local pageants. So where do I begin.....
Miracle Treat Day 2011,
This was my first event as Miss South Central 2011. I wasnt' able to be apart of the day at Waseca's local DQ but I was apart of it in Brainerd, where I'm from. Miss Brainerd, Rebecca Yeh and Miss Baxter, Hailey Van Steenwyk were also there with me! We raised about $165 in 2 hours all to be donated to Children's Miracle Network.

This Little girl LOVED our sparkly crowns!!
This Girl is a CMN Kid!! Very cool to meet her and see where the money we raise really goes!! She was excited to get a picture with us.

The owners of DQ, they were so happy we were there to help promote Miracle Treat Day
I totally got him to buy a Blizzard to help out CMN!! Thanks Dex! :)
March to end Womens Violence,
I was asked to walk in a march to end womens violence on October 19th. This was the first year for the walk, but they hope to bring it back every year. It was a really neat event. A group of people, whoever wanted to be apart of it, joined in front of the courthouse to walk to gregory park, to show the community we care and we are here to help. The State Representative John Ward was there and spoke on behalf of the men, women, and children who suffered from the violence. Some of the community law enforcement was there also, to help name off the people who have passed due to violence. When all was said and done we all took and oath to help stop violence in our community and we all signed a petition. We did this all at night because we walked with candles so I didnt get to many pictures. :(

Miss North Metro 2011,
This has been the only local pageant I have been to as Miss South Central 2011 due to a hecktic schedule. It was great to be there so support all my girls, yes my girls, I knew each and everyone and wanted them all to win. It is also fun because you get to see who you will be competing against and also catch up with other title holders. Local pageants are a blast!

Local title holders, we always have a fun and goofy picture
Congrats to Mary Petersen, Miss North Metro 2011
